DeepSeek's CEO Liang Wenfeng isn't chasing Wall Street fame; he's focused on building artificial general intelligence (AGI) that serves humanity.

While rivals like OpenAI and Anthropic are talking IPOs, Liang called revenue "sesame seeds" compared to the "watermelons" of real AGI breakthroughs.

For him, making smarter, autonomous AI is the big prize.

Liang also talked about how US restrictions on NVIDIA chips are speeding up China's own AI chip industry.

He said NVIDIA is "digging its own grave," and mentioned that DeepSeek is teaming up with Huawei and using its own tech to avoid getting stuck in NVIDIA's ecosystem.
