Delhi developer pledges $2 billion for data centre expansion
Anant Raj Ltd., a major real estate player from Delhi, is putting ₹18,000 crore ($2.1 billion) into growing its data center business.
The goal? Boost capacity to over 300 megawatts by 2032, riding the wave of AI growth and India's push for local data storage.
India's data center capacity to grow 77% by 2028
Two new data centers are coming up in Haryana, adding to Anant Raj's existing setup there.
This fits into a bigger trend: India's total data center capacity is expected to jump 77% in the next four years as more companies race to meet digital demand.
Data centers to contribute over 40% revenue by 2029
Right now, only 5% of Anant Raj's revenue comes from data centers—but they're aiming for over 40% by 2029.
They've also teamed up with Orange Business for cloud services, hoping to keep more of India's massive (but mostly exported) data within the country.
