Easebuzz gets RBI's green light to run full-service payment operations

Business

Easebuzz, a homegrown fintech, just got the Reserve Bank of India's final go-ahead to operate as a full-service Payment Aggregator.
This means they can now help businesses accept online payments, handle in-person transactions with POS devices and UPI soundboxes, and even process cross-border payments—all under one roof.
Only two other Indian companies have this all-in-one approval.

Why does this matter?

Easebuzz is already powering payments for over 2.5 lakh merchants and handles about three million transactions every day—racking up more than $50 billion in annual transactions.
In FY 2024-25, they pulled in ₹656 crore revenue with ₹19 crore profit.
What sets them apart? They're embedding payment tech into sectors like education, insurance, travel, e-commerce, and more—making it easier for businesses to get paid and keep their finances organized.
If you're interested in how digital money moves behind the scenes or where fintech is headed next, this is one to watch.
