Equitas Small Finance Bank just got a new interim leader, Balaji Nuthalapadi.
The RBI signed off on his appointment following the resignation of P N Vasudevan from the post with immediate effect.
Nuthalapadi steps in as interim MD and CEO starting November 6, 2026, and will hold the fort for up to three months or until a permanent replacement is found.
Balaji Nuthalapadi ex-Citi leader IIM Ahmedabad
Nuthalapadi brings more than 28 years of banking expertise to the table and joined Equitas on March 29, 2025.
He's an IIM Ahmedabad grad and has held leadership roles at Citi, working across Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
The board thanked Vasudevan for his big contributions.
