Business

Fortis Healthcare is making moves in Bengaluru, snapping up People Tree Hospital for ₹430 crore.
They're taking over the entire 125-bed hospital at Yeshwanthpur through their subsidiary, aiming to boost their presence in India's top healthcare hubs.

Big plans: More beds, better tech, and a focus on cancer care

Fortis isn't stopping at the purchase—they're investing another ₹410 crore over three years to upgrade facilities, add more beds, and bring in advanced equipment, especially for radiation oncology.
With extra land included in the deal, the hospital could eventually grow to over 300 beds.
CEO Ashutosh Raghuvanshi says this expansion could take Fortis's total bed count in Bengaluru from 900 to over 1,500—making quality healthcare even more accessible across the city.
