After several weeks of persistent outflows, Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) are back in the game, investing ₹3,354 crore into Indian markets on October 10.
Most of this went into stocks (₹2,407 crore), with another boost to the debt market (₹1,327 crore) through the Fully Accessible Route.
US, Europe inflation easing helps
The mood flipped fast: while early October saw heavy outflows—₹3,605 crore gone by October 7—investors turned positive mid-week.
By the end of five trading days (October 10), total inflows hit ₹4,461 crore.
Analysts say easing inflation in the US and Europe has made global interest rates look better, helping bring investors back despite ongoing uncertainties.
