Business
If you're keeping an eye on gold or silver, here's the scoop: both metals dropped sharply in Delhi today.
Gold plunged by ₹2,700, landing at ₹155,900 per 10gm.
Silver took an even bigger hit, down ₹10,000 per kilogram to ₹234,600.
That's quite a shift from yesterday's rates!
Global metals rise, Indian rates fall
Interestingly, while global gold and silver prices nudged up (gold rose 1.15%, silver jumped 2%), Indian rates moved the opposite way.
Saumil Gandhi, Senior Analyst - Commodities at HDFC Securities, explained that despite a slight global recovery, gold is still under pressure thanks to high oil prices and inflation worries, so don't expect things to settle just yet.
