Since ChatGPT launched in late 2022, India's software exports have jumped 30%, according to the World Bank.

AI skills are now hot property, especially in BPO jobs where one out of eight postings ask for them (that's three times more than other sectors).
On top of that, India ranks 46th on the Government AI Readiness Index—pretty good among emerging economies.

Services trade surplus hits $81 billion

India posted an $81 billion services trade surplus between April and August 2025, helping balance out a hefty goods trade deficit.
Public investment is picking up speed, but private capital growth still lags post-pandemic.
