IN-SPACe, SIDBI are launching a ₹1,000cr fund for startups

Business

India's space scene just got a big boost: IN-SPACe and SIDBI are teaming up to launch a ₹1,000 crore fund for homegrown space startups.
Cleared by SEBI on October 31 and the Union Cabinet last October, this fund is all about helping young companies working on rockets, satellites, and other cool tech get the early support they need.

Fund is in the works since last year

SIDBI has been managing the fund since March 2025.
Lochan Sehra from IN-SPACe shared that it's meant to give startups "the financial runway" to build original tech and make India stronger in space.
It's part of a bigger push to help Indian private players shine globally in space technology.
