With India being a global cotton powerhouse, Afghan officials met with Indian counterparts to talk about sharing know-how, growing business, and creating more jobs—especially for farmers working in cotton and textiles.

The teams discussed hands-on support like training Afghan cotton farmers, making shipments smoother, and easing visa hassles.
For some context: in 2024 alone, India sent $68.7 million worth of textiles to Afghanistan, while Afghanistan's total textile imports hit $742.8 million.
