The Indian rupee got a solid boost, closing at 93.89 per US dollar, up by 52 paise.
This jump was powered by strong gains in the stock market and some worries about slowing AI spending, with the rupee even hitting an intraday high of 93.82.
Sensex Nifty rally, FIIs nearly ₹14,974.68cr
Big moves in the Sensex (up 1,718.01 points) and Nifty (up 493.75 points) played a major role, along with foreign institutional investors (FIIs) pouring nearly ₹14,974.68 crore into Indian stocks.
According to Anuj Choudhary, Research Analyst, Mirae Asset Sharekhan, a weaker US dollar and lower US Treasury yields also helped out.
Still, he cautioned that global tensions could hold back further gains for the rupee, so it's something to keep an eye on.
