Indian startup Raphe mPhibr secures $100 million funding
Raphe mPhibr, a Noida-based drone company, just raised $100 million in Series B funding.
Led by General Catalyst and joined by Think Investments, this takes their total funding to $145 million.
Founded in 2017, Raphe mPhibr makes military drones
Started in 2017 by brothers Vikash and Vivek Mishra, Raphe mPhibr builds nine types of drones for India's defense and paramilitary forces—think drone swarms, high-altitude delivery drones, maritime patrol models, and lightweight surveillance UAVs.
They're also working on making radars and cameras locally within the next 18 months.
The cash will help the startup scale up massively
With demand for military drones rising fast in India, this cash will help Raphe mPhibr massively scale up—from a tiny 2,000 sq ft facility to a huge 650,000 sq ft one.
In the past year alone they've sold over 300 drones to more than 10 government agencies (including the Army, Navy, and Air Force), grown their team to around 600 people, and are eyeing an IPO in the next few years.
Their tech is powered by AI for smarter surveillance and electronic warfare too.
