India's air traffic records slowest growth in 3 years

India's domestic air travel just saw its slowest growth in three years—up only 1.89% in May 2025, a big drop from the steady 8%+ increases we'd gotten used to since late last year.
This is still way less than last month.

The ongoing India-Pakistan border conflict has caused major flight cancelations and diversions at 32 airports, making it tougher for airlines to fill seats.
IndiGo's load factor dropped to 85.1%, Air India's to 80.2%, and Akasa's to 91.4%.
Market shares shifted too: IndiGo grew slightly to 64.6%, while Air India slipped and SpiceJet continued its decline, now down to just 2.4%.
