India's biggest companies just got richer by ₹1.28 lakh crore

Business

This week, seven of India's top 10 companies saw their total market value jump by over ₹1.28 lakh crore, while the BSE index experienced a 0.79% boost.
The surge suggests positive investor sentiment toward sectors like energy, telecom, IT, and banking.

Who's winning big?

Reliance Industries led the pack with a ₹36,673 crore gain (now worth over ₹20.9 lakh crore), while Bharti Airtel wasn't far behind, adding ₹36,579 crore to hit ₹12.3 lakh crore.
Infosys and TCS also chipped in with solid increases.

Not everyone had a great week

HDFC Bank, SBI, and Hindustan Unilever all saw their values rise too—but Bajaj Finance lost ₹8,244 crore from its market cap.
LIC and ICICI Bank slipped a bit as well. Still, the overall takeaway: India's biggest names ended the week stronger than before.
