InMobi unveils 15 AI ad formats before $500 million India IPO
InMobi, the Bengaluru-based ad tech company, is rolling out about 15 new AI-powered ad formats as it gears up for a $500 million IPO in India.
They're also bringing in AI agents to automate how ads are bought and sold.
One cool example: Abhay Singhal, co-founder of InMobi and chief executive of InMobi Advertising, showed off an ad format that uses conversational AI to help news publishers tackle dropping web traffic.
InMobi uses AI across 30,000-brand platform
InMobi serves over 30,000 brands, processes nearly $2.5 billion of media spend globally, and reaches over two billion users across 150 countries.
Their platform leans heavily on AI, not just for automating ad deals but even behind the scenes, with nearly 80% of their code written using AI tools.
Plus, their Glance platform uses AI to serve up personalized content and shopping picks for users.
Ad industry crosses $1T in 2025
With the broader advertising industry crossed the $1 trillion mark globally in 2025, InMobi's move shows how fast the industry is shifting toward an AI-first approach, and they're clearly aiming to stay ahead of the curve as they go public.
