JioFiber introduces new Rs. 351, Rs. 199 prepaid broadband plans
Reliance Jio has introduced a couple of new prepaid broadband plans for its fiber-to-the-home JioFiber service. The affordable Rs. 351 and Rs. 199 plans join the existing JioFiber plans that start at Rs. 699 for the 100Mbps Bronze pack and go up to Rs. 8,499 for the premium 1Gbps Titanium plan. Everything to know about the Rs. 351 plan
The Rs. 351 plan, which costs Rs. 414.18 including GST, offers 50GB data at 10Mbps download speeds for a total validity of 30 days. Once the FUP limit is reached, subscribers will get unlimited access but at a reduced speed of 1Mbps. Additionally, the plan also comes with unlimited voice calls and complimentary TV video calling benefits.
Jio is also offering Advance Payment Option with these plans
Meanwhile, Jio has also introduced an advanced payment option for these plans wherein users can pay for three months, six months, yearly, or biennially subscriptions. Customers can also avail these plans through an auto-debit mode using their core balance.
What do you get with the Rs. 199 plan?
Those who don't require an internet connection on a regular basis can subscribe to the Rs. 199 plan. It has a validity of just 7 days but subscribers get unlimited data at 100Mbps speed. The plan also offers unlimited on-net and off-net calling as well as free TV video calling. With applicable GST, the plan will cost you Rs. 234.82 per week.
New plans available for customers possessing a Customer Premise Equipment
As per Jio's official circular, these new prepaid plans "can only be availed by customers possessing a compatible Customer Premise Equipment." The CPEs will be available at a refundable security deposit of Rs. 3,500 for high-range model or Rs. 1,500 for the mid-range CPE. Meanwhile, the installation charges of Rs. 1,000 for the ONT are separate and will have to be borne by subscribers.
