John Chambers: AI could add 2% points India GDP
John Chambers, founder and CEO of JC2 Ventures and former Cisco CEO, believes artificial intelligence (AI) could add two percentage points to India's GDP growth.
In a recent interview, he pointed out how AI is changing industries fast and said India's huge population and strong digital setup make it perfect for large-scale AI adoption.
Chambers: 70%-80% jobs new from AI
Chambers predicts that 70% to 80% of jobs in the next decade will be totally new thanks to AI.
He gave a nod to Prime Minister Modi's digital push, saying it puts India ahead in the AI race.
But he also emphasized that as productivity rises, people will need serious training to keep up.
