Elon Musk's AI startup, xAI, just lost its trade secret case against OpenAI.
xAI claimed that former xAI employees took confidential information (including the Grok chatbot source code) while being recruited by OpenAI.
But Judge Rita Lin said there was not enough proof and dismissed the case for good.
Musk lost earlier suits against OpenAI
This is not the first legal clash between Musk and OpenAI: an earlier version of this lawsuit was also thrown out in February.
Plus, on May 18, Musk lost another case where he argued that OpenAI moved away from its nonprofit roots.
The court decided his claims came too late to matter.
