Karnataka unveils new IT policy to supercharge tech beyond Bengaluru
Business
Karnataka just rolled out its IT Policy for 2025-2030, aiming to grow the tech scene across the state—not just in Bengaluru.
With a ₹445.5 crore budget and 16 investment incentives (nine of them brand new), the government wants to attract more companies and boost innovation.
Big push for infrastructure, talent, and digital jobs
The plan includes building 'Techniverse' campuses with AI and cybersecurity labs, plus a Statewide Digital Hub Grid to connect R&D efforts.
There's also support for women in tech and programs to bring skilled workers back home.
Over five years, nearly ₹1,000 crore will go into incentives and infrastructure—with the expectation of sparking startups, creating jobs, and enabling more young people to participate in Karnataka's growing digital economy.
