LIC posts 22.8% profit to ₹13,492 cr, premium up 6.8%

LIC just posted a strong start to the year, with net profit up 22.8% YoY to ₹13,492 crore for the June quarter.
Premium income also grew 6.8% YoY to ₹1,27,250 crore.
LIC VNB up 61.3% YoY
LIC's Value of New Business (the money they make from new policies) surged 61.3% year over year, with margins getting healthier too.
They're still the top player, holding 60.10% of India's life insurance market, 70.90% in group plans, and 38.89% in individual ones.
