Business

Nifty 50 closed lower for the eighth straight session on Tuesday, dropping 24 points to 24,611 as tech and auto stocks struggled.

Banking stocks were the bright spot—Nifty Bank climbed 175 points thanks to strong showings from Punjab National Bank and Canara Bank, helping balance out losses elsewhere.

On the upside: Coforge jumped over 2% on positive analyst buzz, Ola Electric gained ahead of its sales report, and Tata Motors saw a boost after Jaguar Land Rover updates.
