Nscale adds Fidji Simo to board before fall IPO
Nscale, a fast-growing UK AI data center startup, just added Fidji Simo, a former Meta executive and former chair and CEO of Instacart, to its board.
The timing is big: Nscale is gearing up for an IPO this fall, and Simo joins a powerhouse team with Sheryl Sandberg, Susan Decker, and Nick Clegg to help steer the company's next chapter.
Fidji Simo led Instacart IPO
Simo has serious experience scaling products used by billions of people: she led Instacart through its IPO and ran Facebook's app at Meta.
Nscale CEO Josh Payne says her know-how is that Simo is one of the few leaders who understand what it means to scale products used by billions of people and the demands those products place on the underlying systems.
The company aims to raise up to $3.5 billion before going public, and bringing Simo on board looks like a smart move to hit those ambitious goals.
