ONGC's profit dips 18% as oil prices slip

Business

ONGC just posted an 18% drop in profit for July-September FY25, mainly because oil prices have slipped.
Net profit came in at ₹9,848 crore and revenue dipped slightly to ₹33,031 crore.
Still, shareholders got some good news: the company announced a ₹6 per share interim dividend, totaling ₹7,548 crore.

ONGC is betting big on clean energy

Even with lower prices, ONGC managed to bump up crude oil output by 1.2%.
The company is also putting serious money—₹421.5 crore—into Ayana Renewable Power to grow its clean energy game.
Plus, new joint ventures with Mitsui O.S.K. Lines aim to expand ONGC's presence in ethane transport for the future.
