PhysicsWallah shares jump on debut, Emmvee off to a slow start

The day saw two very different stock market debuts: PhysicsWallah's shares soared 33% above their IPO price, opening at ₹145 and quickly hitting ₹162.
Meanwhile, Emmvee Photovoltaic Power's shares started flat at ₹217, matching its IPO price and showing little excitement.

What drove the difference?

PhysicsWallah's IPO was nearly twice oversubscribed and pulled in big interest from anchor investors before listing—indicating strong enthusiasm for the edtech brand.
Emmvee's IPO, focused on solar power, was only 97% subscribed but still managed to raise over ₹1,300 crore from anchor investors.
While its debut was quieter, that extra funding is expected to support Emmvee's growth in the renewable energy space.
