Porter lays off 350 employees, says it's building 'financially resilient' org
Porter, the Bengaluru-based logistics startup, just let go of over 350 employees—about 18% of its team—as it combines its truck and two-wheeler delivery units to cut overlap.
The company says this move is about building a "stronger, more agile, and financially resilient organization for the road ahead."
Those affected are getting severance pay, extended health coverage, and career transition assistance.
Despite layoffs, Porter's revenue jumped 57% in FY25
Even with layoffs in the mix, Porter's revenue jumped 57% to ₹4,306 crore in FY25.
The company turned things around from last year's loss to post a ₹55 crore profit.
Plus, they raised $200 million this May at a $1.2 billion valuation—and are closing in on even more funding.
Porter's ambitious growth plans
Porter isn't slowing down—since launching in 2014, they've signed up over 300k driver partners and serve two million SME customers.
By 2030? They're aiming for a whopping 1.2 million drivers and over 10 million SME clients on their platform.
