Pralhad Joshi launches WT-MARUT portal in Goa to localize manufacturing
India's new WT-MARUT portal, launched by the Minister of New & Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi at the Global Wind Day Conference in Goa on Monday, is set to make wind energy manufacturing smoother and more local.
Built by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy with IWTMA, it helps Indian suppliers connect, collaborate, and securely manage data, all hosted within the country.
Portal backs India's 100 GW goal
The portal is a big step for India's wind power goals.
Even though India is already fourth in the world with over 56.1 GW of installed capacity, that is less than 5% of what is possible here!
FY26 saw record growth — wind turbine exports surpassed ₹12,000 crore, nearly 50% higher than FY25.
With targets of 100 GW by 2030 and even bigger export plans ahead, this portal could help India become a true wind energy powerhouse.
