RBI: Commercial sector's cash flow hits ₹20.1 lakh crore—big jump this year
Business
The RBI just shared that India's commercial sector saw a major boost in financial inflows between April and October 2025, hitting ₹20.1 lakh crore.
That's a sharp rise from last year's ₹16.2 lakh crore, showing more money moving into businesses from both banks and other sources.
Non-bank players are stepping up
A big part of this growth came from non-bank sources like NBFCs, corporate bonds, and foreign investments—they pumped in ₹8.95 lakh crore (up from ₹6.43 lakh crore last year).
Bank credit also grew to ₹11.13 lakh crore.
Overall, outstanding credit to the commercial sector jumped 13%, with non-bank funding growing even faster at over 17%.
This suggests that businesses may have more options when it comes to raising money right now.
