RBI's UDGAAM portal: Find forgotten money in old bank accounts
RBI just dropped UDGAM, a handy online tool to help you track down unclaimed deposits that have been sitting idle in banks for over 10 years.
Just sign up at udgam.rbi.org.in with your phone, punch in details like your name or PAN, and the portal tells you which bank might be holding your forgotten cash—so you can finally claim it.
Why now? It's part of a nationwide money recovery drive
UDGAM is being used as a key tool in PM Modi's "Your Money, Your Right" campaign, which runs from October to December 2025.
The goal? To return ₹78,000 crore stuck in old accounts and another ₹26,000 crore from insurance, mutual funds, and unpaid dividends.
With camps set up across over 470 districts already helping people reclaim about ₹2,000 crore, it's all about making sure lost money gets back to its rightful owners—including you or someone you know.
