Reliance Industries unveils plan for over 200,000 clean energy jobs
Reliance Industries just shared some big green plans at its AGM.
Anant Ambani, Executive Director of Reliance Industries, announced that projects like the Jamnagar Giga Complex and Kutch Solar Farm are set to create over 200,000 new jobs in clean energy, with commercial revenues from solar modules starting this year and from FY27 onward, New Energy will begin contributing meaningfully to Reliance's financial performance.
Kutch hub supplying India's 3% power
The massive Kutch Renewable Energy Hub will supply about 3% of India's power needs, generating over 40 billion units of green electricity annually.
At Jamnagar, Reliance is already making advanced solar panels and with plans to double capacity to 20 GW.
Plus, its huge battery factory, focused on lithium iron phosphate tech, is almost ready, helping boost India's energy storage and electric mobility game.
