ReNew Energy to invest ₹82,000cr in Andhra Pradesh
ReNew Energy Global Plc is making a massive move in Andhra Pradesh, bringing its total investment in renewable energy projects to ₹82,000 crore.
This includes a fresh ₹60,000 crore boost on top of the ₹22,000 crore already committed to Andhra Pradesh in May 2025.
MoUs signed for various renewable energy projects
The company just signed four major MoUs with the state's Economic Development Board.
We're talking about a 6-GW solar manufacturing plant, a 2-GW hydro storage facility, a 300-KTPA green ammonia plant, and 5 GW of hybrid projects mixing wind and solar with battery storage—basically powering up the state for the future.
Investment to create over 10,000 jobs
This huge investment is expected to create over 10,000 jobs and help Andhra Pradesh hit its ambitious clean energy targets.
It also supports India's push for self-reliance and greener growth under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat mission.
