Riot Games closes studio behind Minecraft-Inspired game

Riot Games is closing down Hypixel Studios, the team behind the long-awaited game Hytale, after struggling to meet development goals since being acquired in 2020.
CEO Aaron "Noxy" Donaghey shared that, despite a big engine overhaul in 2021 and lots of effort, Hytale just couldn't come together as planned.
The shutdown will happen over the next few months.
