Salesforce, Oracle lay off over 700 workers in 2 states
Salesforce and Oracle have let go of more than 700 workers across California and Washington as of early November 2025.
Both companies say the cuts are part of a bigger move in tech to use AI for streamlining, with Salesforce shrinking its customer support team from 9,000 to 5,000.
Salesforce and Oracle's layoffs
Salesforce cut 262 jobs in San Francisco and another 93 in Bellevue and Seattle—partly due to efficiencies from new AI tools like Agentforce that handle support cases faster, as well as broader restructuring.
Oracle laid off 254 people in California and 101 in Seattle under a $1.6 billion restructuring plan.
