SEBI introduces 'SEBI Check' for UPI payment verification

SEBI is making UPI payments safer in the securities market with a new system that kicks in from October 1, 2025. All registered intermediaries collecting money will need to use verified UPI addresses, aiming to block scams by unregistered players and help investors feel more secure about their transactions.
