Sensex and Nifty end lower as FIIs sell ₹930.90 cr

Friday saw the Sensex and Nifty ending in the red again, with FIIs selling off ₹930.90 crore worth of shares while DIIs stepped in to buy ₹1,968.17 crore.
Both indices dropped, Sensex by 121 points and Nifty by 80 points, but recovered sharply from their intraday lows.
HDFC, Kotak help Nifty Bank
Banks like HDFC and Kotak helped Nifty Bank recover, closing up 135 points.
Some IT stocks and Dr Reddy's Laboratories also made gains, but overall it was the fifth straight week of losses for Sensex and Nifty, marking their longest losing streak in over a year.
Realty and IT sectors took the biggest hit this week, while midcap names like Godrej Properties fell sharply.
Despite that, a few companies like Max Healthcare stood out as top gainers amidst all the volatility.
