Sensex soars, bull run continues for 3rd day
The Indian stock market kept up its winning streak on Thursday, with the Sensex jumping over 1,000 points to close at 83,755—just shy of the all-time high.
The Nifty also set a fresh record by ending above 25,500.
Both indices have now climbed for three days straight.
Sensex close to its all-time high
This surge came as geopolitical tensions eased and big players like HDFC Bank and Reliance Industries saw strong buying. Tata Steel, Bajaj Finance, and Adani Ports also stood out among top gainers.
Even though foreign investors sold shares worth over ₹2,400 crore, domestic buyers almost matched that—helping keep the market upbeat.
Globally things were mixed: Japan's markets rose while Hong Kong and Shanghai slipped; Europe mostly followed India's positive mood.
If this momentum keeps up, analysts say we might see new records soon.
