Swedish Tandem Health raises $100 million to build AI clinic system
Business
Tandem Health, a Swedish startup using AI to help doctors and nurses, just scored $100 million in new funding.
The round was led by Scaleup Europe Fund (its first big step into AI health care), with support from T.Capital, Norrsken Ventures, Kinnevik, and Northzone.
The cash will go toward expanding Tandem's reach across Europe and building an AI-powered clinic system.
Tandem cuts clinician paperwork nearly 1-third
Tandem's tech is already used by 10,000 care organizations in 14 countries and helps cut down paperwork for clinicians by nearly one-third.
CEO Lukas Saari says their goal is to tackle big challenges like staff shortages and Europe's rapidly aging population: Europe's health systems are under real strain and AI presents a real solution.
