Swiggy trims Q2 loss to ₹922cr as revenue hits ₹7,571cr

Swiggy just reported a smaller net loss for the second quarter: ₹922 crore, down from ₹1,092 crore last year.

Revenue is looking up too, jumping 36% to ₹7,571 crore.

Still, costs are rising fast, with total expenses increasing nearly 30% to ₹8,703 crore, as Swiggy's recent ₹791 crore loss showed.

Zomato surges as Swiggy shares dip

While Swiggy is working on getting its finances in shape, Zomato's profits shot up by 92% and revenue climbed 78%. The rivalry is real.
