Articles about James Anderson
English cricketer James Anderson, with a seaming pitch in the background, is a nightmare for opposition teams but a dream for the fans of poetry because the way he makes the ball move is nothing but poetry. The "king of swing" is the best fast bowler England has ever produced and the best proponent of swing bowling in modern cricket. Anderson began his first-class career for Lancashire in 2002. His international debut also came in 2002 against Australia in an ODI. Anderson's Test debut came in 2003 against Zimbabwe. He took a fifer in an innings on his debut. In the early stages of his international career, Anderson's bowling action was tinkered with as the coaches believed that it wouldn't be sustainable. This led to him performing below par and became an expendable member at least until 2007. In the 2010s, Anderson began to become the bowler that most batsmen dreaded facing. In 2015, he retired from ODI cricket as the most prolific English bowler. In Tests, Anderson is one of the best fast bowlers ever with 621 wickets to his name.
