Tether lets institutions issue tokenized real estate in Saudi Arabia
Business
Tether, the company behind the USDT stablecoin, is making moves in Saudi Arabia by letting institutional investors issue and manage tokenized real estate assets using blockchain tokens on its Hadron platform.
It's a fresh step for Tether, as it looks to go beyond just digital coins and start turning physical assets like property into tradable tokens.
Tether partners with First Data BKN301
This new project, announced August 6, 2026, is a team-up with local partners First Data and BKN301.
While it kicks off with real estate, Tether says energy and infrastructure could be next.
The whole idea fits right in with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, using tech like blockchain to modernize the economy.
As CEO Paolo Ardoino puts it, Saudi Arabia is an "ideal market" for showing what Hadron can do.
