United Airlines tests Eurobusiness-style blocked middle seats on A321XLR
Business
United Airlines is trying out a new economy layout on its Airbus A321XLR planes, where the middle seats are blocked off, so you get more space and don't have to elbow-wrestle your neighbor.
The setup is inspired by Eurobusiness cabins and also means fewer flight attendants are needed.
FAA staffing met, United relax row
This new arrangement checks all the FAA boxes for safety staffing on smaller planes.
Plus, United's revealing the United Relax Row for long-haul flights, a whole row that turns into a couch with leg rests, a custom-fitted mattress pad, a specially sized blanket, two additional pillows, a plush toy and a children's travel kit for families.
So whether you're flying solo or as a couple, comfort just got an upgrade.
