India seeks lower tariffs, US concerned
India wants lower tariffs and protection from sudden hikes, while the US is raising concerns about some of India's trade practices.
There's also hope that improving U.S.-Iran relations could make it easier for Indian exports to move through key routes.
Commerce Secretary Rajesh Agrawal highlighted that India's exports have nearly doubled in 12 years, showing just how important these talks could be for both countries.
