  • Vodafone Idea Limited, currently the leading telecom service provider in India, has announced an increase in the prices of prepaid services from December 3.

    These new plans are estimated to be costlier by upto 42% compared to earlier packs. Notably, the telco will also charge for off-net calls after the free usage in the plan is exhausted.

    New First Recharge Coupons

  • The new Free Recharge Coupons (FRCs) now start at Rs. 97 and go upto Rs. 647. The base-end tariff offers Rs. 45 talktime, 100MB data, 1paise/second tariff, and validity of 28-days.

    Similarly, the mid-end Rs. 197 and Rs. 297 FRCs and the top-tier Rs. 647 pack come with upto 3,000 minutes of off-net calling, 1.5GB daily data, 100 SMSes/day, and upto 84-days of validity.

  • Vodafone Idea has also announced new combo vouchers. The Rs. 49 option offers Rs. 38 talktime, 100MB data, 2.5paise/second tariff while the Rs. 79 pack comes with Rs. 64 talktime, 200MB data, and 1paise/second tariff. Both vouchers have a validity of 28-days.

    There is also a pocket-friendly Rs. 19 unlimited sachet recharge that offers unlimited on-net voice calls, 150MB data, 100 SMSes for 2-days.

  • As part of the tariff rejig, there are four new monthly unlimited plans starting with Rs. 149 pack which comes with 2GB of total data and 300 SMSes for 28-days.

    You also have Rs. 249, Rs. 299, and Rs. 399 packs which provide upto 3GB daily data and 100 SMSes per day for 28-days.

    All four plans offer 1,000 minutes for off-net calls.

  • Vodafone Idea has introduced three new quarterly unlimited plans which offer 3,000 minutes of off-net calls and 84-days of validity.

    The entry-level Rs. 379 pack comes with 6GB of total data and 1,000 SMSes for the entire duration of the plan.

    Further, there are Rs. 599 and Rs. 699 plans which offer upto 2GB daily data and 100 SMSes per day.

    Unlimited annual packs (365 days of validity)

  • If you are looking for a long-term annual pack, the telco is offering two options.

    The Rs. 1,499 plan, with 365-days of validity, offers 12,000 minutes of off-net calls, 24GB data, and a total of 3,600 SMSes.

    Further, there is also Rs. 2,399 pack which comes with 12,000 minutes of off-net calls, 1.5GB of daily data, 100 SMSes per day, and 365-days validity.

    Understanding on-net and off-net calls

  • According to Vodafone Idea, local, STD and national roaming voice calls from Vodafone to Vodafone and Vodafone to Idea and vice versa are considered as on-net, while others are off-net and they will be charged at 6 paise/min after the free usage in the plan.
