Walmart adds Apple and Google Pay at select stores

Walmart is finally making checkout easier:
Starting August 24, you will be able to use Apple Pay and Google Pay at select Walmart and Sam's Club stores.
The "Tap to Pay" feature will roll out everywhere by the end of 2026, and all Walmart fuel stations will get it by mid-2027.
Walmart says customers wanted options
Walmart used to stick with its own payment apps like Walmart Pay, but with most US retailers already on board with Apple Pay, shoppers wanted more options.
The company says adding "Tap to Pay" is all about giving customers more choice at checkout, a move that has been a long time coming for many.
