Walmart has spent more than $40 billion on goods from India since 2019, aiming to boost Indian businesses on the global stage.
At its Growth Summit in New Delhi, CEO John Furner talked about helping local suppliers get export-ready and connecting them with customers worldwide.
Walmart and Flipkart expand SME exports
Through its Vriddhi program, Walmart has trained more than 115,000 small and medium-sized businesses in digital skills and market access, with a goal of reaching 170,000 by 2028.
Flipkart's initiatives like Samarth are also opening doors for entrepreneurs and artisans.
According to Walmart leaders, these efforts are helping make India a bigger player in global manufacturing and exports.
