What's the story

A 19-year-old Delhi University student had to jump out of a moving DTC bus after she was allegedly harassed by a man near South Extension in South Delhi. The woman's ordeal was shared by her cousin through a series of tweets where she alleged that the victim was "molested seven times" on the same route multiple times. Here's more.

Details

The molesters are regulars on the route

"She told me of this breed of molesters who travel on route 544 plying from South Ex specifically because that bus carries young girls on their way to college - Kamala Nehru and Gargi," the victim's cousin tweeted. She explained how the student had once gotten one of the molesters off the bus only to find him on the same bus the next day.

Request

CM Kejriwal should take a strict action: Victim's cousin

The victim's cousin said that these goons harass the girls to the point that her sister dashed out of the moving bus and into the traffic as she couldn't bear any more of it. She also urged Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to either make "Route 544 a Ladies route for college girls" or "have a uniformed police officer posted" on the bus.
