    What's the story

    In a shocking development, a 17-year-old boy was reportedly killed by six of his friends using knives and bricks. His body was found in a park in Delhi's Malviya Nagar area on Friday morning.

    One of the accused allegedly called the victim, Vivek, for a drink, and when he got drunk, he took the victim to Satpula Park.

    At the park, five of the accused were waiting for him. Once he arrived, they attacked him with two knives and bricks.

    Top police official provides details on murder case

    According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DP) Chandan Choudhary, a PCR call was received at around 7:30am on Friday regarding a body spotted in Satpula Park.

    Police arrived at the site near Khirki village and found the body with injury marks on the chest, neck, stomach, and face, he said. Choudhary added that the 17-year-old victim was a resident of Indra Camp in Begumpur.

    3 accused minors apprehended for murder

    Since the discovery of the body, three minors have been taken into custody by the police and are being questioned.

    During interrogation, they allegedly revealed that the entire thing was planned by one of them, who held a grudge against Vivek. The accused had been beaten up by the victim in a fight a few months ago.

    Victim lied to family before leaving home

    On the other hand, the victim's family said that Vivek lied to them while leaving the house on Thursday, informing them he was going to meet his father.

    His family tried calling his phone numerous times after he did not return, but it was switched off.

    They found out about Vivek's death the following day after police came to the home with pictures of the dead body.

    This new case comes less than a month after an 18-year-old boy was stabbed 60 times in the head, neck, and ears by a 16-year-old in Delhi's Welcome area over Rs. 350.

    In a viral CCTV footage of the incident, the minor attacker could be seen standing over the victim's corpse and dancing at one point after stabbing him.
