Check out '102 Not Out', 'Omerta' day two collection
The new releases of the week, '102 Not Out' and 'Omerta', had a good Saturday at the box office. The Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor starrer witnessed an upward growth on day two and earned Rs. 5.53 crore. On the other hand, Rajkummar Rao's film also saw a jump after a disappointing day one and raked in Rs. 1.09 crore.
Strong word of mouth is translating into BO numbers... #102NotOut witnesses an upward trend on Day 2... 57.10% growth... It’s all about maintaining the pace today [Sun] and also on weekdays... Fri 3.52 cr, Sat 5.53 cr. Total: ₹ 9.05 cr. India biz.— taran adarsh (@taran_adarsh) May 6, 2018
Big B and Rishi have shared the screen space after a gap of 26 years and the audience seems to be getting enthralled by their chemistry. Touted as an unusual father-son love story, '102 Not Out' has been directed by Umesh Shukla of 'OMG - Oh My God!' fame. The film is based on playwright Saumya Joshi's Gujarati play of the same name.
#Omertà witnesses growth on Sat... While the growth is substantial, the overall total remains on the lower side... Sun biz holds the key... Fri 54 lakhs, Sat 1.09 cr. Total: ₹ 1.64 cr. India biz.— taran adarsh (@taran_adarsh) May 6, 2018
Even though the business of 'Omerta' doubled on the second day, it is certainly not enough to take the film into the safe zone. The biographical crime drama needs an even bigger and better Sunday to stand a chance at the box office. 'Omerta' is Rajkummar's fourth collaboration with Hansal Mehta after 'Shahid', 'Citylights' and 'Aligarh'.
