Aamir Khan rejects action film trend for new project

Sitaare Zameen Par is a sports comedy-drama inspired by the Spanish film Champions. The story follows an arrogant basketball coach who's ordered to train a team of neurodivergent adults as community service. The cast includes Khan, Genelia Deshmukh, and several fresh faces.

Khan has a track record of doing his own thing—like when he made Ghajini at a time when action films were flopping. That gamble paid off big time and showed he's not afraid to break away from what everyone else is doing.
