'Will go through narration': Aamir confirms film with Lokesh Kanagaraj

Aamir Khan has confirmed that he is still in talks with Tamil filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj for their much-awaited action film. Speaking at the 23rd Hindustan Times Leadership Summit, Khan revealed that they plan to meet for a narration session. "Lokesh and I are supposed to meet up. We spoke last month, and he said he will come to Bombay at some point, and we will go through the narration."

The actor's confirmation comes in response to rumors that suggested their upcoming action film had been shelved. The film, which will be directed by Kanagaraj, is set to mark his Bollywood debut. Earlier, Khan had revealed they were working on a "big-scale superhero action film," with plans to start shooting in the second half of 2026.

Meanwhile, Khan also made a cameo appearance in Kanagaraj's recent film Coolie. His role as Dahaa, a crime lord involved in gold smuggling and organ trafficking, received mixed reviews. Khan is also set to reunite with director Rajkumar Hirani on a biopic on Dadasaheb Phalke. He was last seen in Sitaare Zameen Par.
