Beatles biopics cast members' spouses: Saoirse, Aimee Lou, and more

Sony Pictures has officially confirmed the actors who will play the spouses of The Beatles members in Sam Mendes's upcoming four-part film series. The cast includes Mia McKenna-Bruce as Maureen Cox, Anna Sawai as Yoko Ono, Saoirse Ronan as Linda Eastman, and Aimee Lou Wood as Pattie Boyd. All four films are scheduled to be released in April 2028.

Who are the real-life figures these actors will portray?
Cox, then 15, met Ringo Starr in 1962 when The Beatles were regulars at Liverpool's Cavern club. They tied the knot in 1965 but divorced in 1975. Eastman, a photographer, met Paul McCartney in 1967. They married in 1969, and she later joined his post-Beatles band, Wings. Ono met John Lennon in 1966; they remained together until his death in 1980. Boyd, a model, met George Harrison in 1964 during A Hard Day's Night. They were together for a decade.

Mendes said in a statement, "Maureen, Linda, Yoko and Pattie are four fascinating and unique figures in their own right. "And I'm thrilled that we've managed to persuade four of the most talented women working in film today to join this amazing adventure." The project was first announced in 2024 with plans for four separate fiction films focusing on each band member. Paul Mescal, Harris Dickinson, Barry Keoghan, and Joseph Quinn were cast as McCartney, Lennon, Starr, and Harrison, respectively.
